Spring is here! Finally!!
My plan for today was simple. Run fast! For the 1st 1.5 miles I did just that. I finished my first mile in 6:11, well on pace to set a PR. Then the wheels simply came off. My heart began racing and the two little but tough hills at the end did me in.
My wife so delicately pointed out how horrible my diet has been lately, including last night's feast of brownies, ice cream and beer. Not the best pre race meal, eh? I know how to eat right, but for the past month I have not been. This has led to some weight gain and tough running. Lesson learned? I hope!
