The past month has been extremely frustrating. It started with my hip issue and yesterday continued with a mysterious full body ailment. I woke up and was just fine, but about an hour after breakfast, I started aching all over, had the, ahem, "runs", and felt generally lightheaded. Very weird. Anyway, I spent most of the day in bed. I woke this morning feeling generally fine, but WTF, kinda blew my half marathon planned for today.
So what next? I am tempted to rest the entire week and run my marathon to the best of my ability on Sunday. My body sucks!

Yeah, there's nothing like dealing with the wrong kind of "runs"...maybe this is just the schoolteacher in me, but any chance you might have picked up the flu bug in the last few days, or perhaps a bit of food poisoning? (I'm being serious here...I've been through this before *ugh*) Anyway, it might be for the best in the end...you should probably be using this week to taper before your marathon...so take it easy if you need to. I'd wish you good luck with your marathon, but I know you'll do a great job!
ReplyDeleteSounds like you've got a bug of some sort. Don't worry about this past weekend. Just focus on getting healthy and you can do your marathon. Stop bad mouthing yourself and think of all your body CAN accomplish. You can do this! Good luck! Amy
