I set out for my run this morning and I noticed a strong smell of bubble gum in the air. Is there a bubblegum factory in Binghamton? It was very strong and if I had to guess, I would say that it was Bazooka, original flavor. This took me back to the days of buying .05 pieces at the corner store, Now & Laters (we always pronouced them NounLaders) , Snap on Wrist Bracelets (yeah, I know) and Pop Rocks. Before I knew it, my run was done!

ReplyDeleteThanks for the flashbacks. I was big on the Now and Laters, but also the Nerds! At least it was a pleasant smell. When I run with my sister I hate at the end of the hard run going past the fried chicken shack. I love fried chicken but that smell makes me nauseous when running!
